The Village of Yellow Balls

This is the home village of the Litleone family, situated on the east coast of the country of Freiland. It is a vibrant and well-developed village with core amenities such as various types of housing, a school, library, police and fire station, hospital, shops, business, and research centres. For children it is a wonderful place to grow up, as they can travel with floating e-boards around a complex system of canals, picnic in beautiful parks, exercise traditional- as well as extreme sports, swim in a lake with a waterfall and stroll with their loving pets in vast heath- and woodlands. On a hilltop lies the strange looking home of the smartest person in the village, and perhaps in the whole Globe, Professor S Marty Paints. On a plateau about a mile away from the village centre, stands a ghostly looking stone mansion, surrounded by a thick, dark smog. The mansion of count Daark. Magnificent yellow ball trees typically grow on most private and communal grounds and are unique to the region in and around the Village.

Ice Cream City

Situated in central Freiland, this is a special town with a long tradition of producing delicious, globally renowned ice cream. The old town centre is surrounded by a moat and boasts a magnificent ice cream statue, and a milkshake fountain, on which a magical troll stands proud and hands out over-sized drink glasses to well behaved children. A steep hilltop overseeing the town, can be reached through a cable car that travels near the speed of light. On top of the hill there is an ice cream factory, a frozen-ice-cream-hockey rink, and an enormous igloo, inside of which roller blading waiting staff serve from a menu with hundreds of mouth-watering ice cream choices. On the outskirts of the town there is a large pasture on which super happy cows stroll. On their journey across Freiland, the Litleone’s stopover in Ice Cream City, and to their pleasant surprise, a festival is being held.

Mulberry Island

Located in south Freiland, this ancient island, is found in midst of a large, perfectly round lake. On Mulberry Island there is a vast woodland, long stretched sandy beaches, lakeside villages and a port. The island boasts beautiful gardens of Mulberry trees, and a spectacular castle ruin on top of a cliff, rumoured to be haunted. While journeying through air, the Litleone’s are forced to emergency land on this island.

Land of the Animals

According to Freiland law all wild animals should live freely in their habitat and are not allowed to be kept captive or as pets. On the west coast of the land there is a vast area that belongs to the wild animals, and the authorities have designated caretakers of that land and of the animals and habitat that live and resides there. The wild animals are all friendly, sociable, and vegetarian. Occasionally, residents of Freiland are welcome to visit and meet with their animal friends in the land of the animals.

The Coast of Plums

This plum tree rich area is situated along the southwest coastline of Freiland. It is a sparsely populated region where most inhabitants’ lives revolve around the plum: growing it; plucking it; producing plum related products; or educating visitors about this delicious fruit. By tradition, hounds are bred at one local kennel, who can sniff out the most fruitful places for plum tree plantations to grow. The Litleone’s quest takes them across the land of Freiland, to the coast of plums.
